How to backup active directory in windows 2003 server
1. Click on Start >Programs >Accessories >System Tools and select Backup.

What screens you
see next depends on if the utility was ever run before or not. Follow the
screens until you get to the Backup Wizard
3. Pick what backup youI want or something similar.
4. What we are looking for is the screen where you can drill down the file structure to the System State
5. Drill down to My Computer>System State check box. These are most of the critical System files you can back up, including Active Directory.
6. Choose a place to back up to, and there you go.
