You Receive Error 0x800CCC0e and Cannot Send Email Using Comcast

For some customers, Comcast has changed from port 25 to port 587 for outgoing email.

In Outlook, go to:

Tools: >Email Accounts>Next>Change>More Settings>Check the box that reads "My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication"

Under advanced tab, change outgoing port to 587

In Outlook Express:

Go to:

Tools>Accounts>Email>Properties>Servers>Check the box that reads My Server requires Authentication next to Outgoing Mail Server

Under advanced, change the outgoing server port to 587
