You Cannot Restore a QuickBooks File from Backup
QuickBooks appends dates and times to backup. Over a series of time, that name can be too long and/or jumbled for QuickBooks to read as a restore.
Perform a backup, but shorten the file name to just the company file name with the .QBB extension and your issue should be solved.
