Setting Outlook to be the Default E-Mail Program
Normally you can set the default mail program from the Internet Explorer
(Tools / Internet Options / Programs)
If this still doesn't work for you:
- Open the Explorer (not Internet Explorer)
- Select Tools / Folder Options
- Click on the File Types tab
- Go to URL:MailToProtocol
- Edit the Open action to be "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeOUTLOOK.EXE" -c IPM.Note /m "%1"
Note: The location of Outlook may be different depending on the version of Office you have installed.
