How to Perform a Check Disk (chkdsk) on a Windows Computer

1. Right click on your C Drive.

 

2. Left-Click on Properties, then select the Tools Tab

 

3. Click on "Check Now"

 

4. Check both empty check boxes and select Start.

 

5. Windows will tell you that you cannot perform the operation now and ask to schedule a boot time check. Select Yes.

 

6. Restart the computer and disk check will ensue.
