You Receive the Error “Previous attempts at booting this system have failed at checkpoint"

1) Failed motherbaord.

2) Battery issue on Motherboard. For this, Press/hold the power button for ~15 sec. Open the case and remove battery from the motherboard. Press/hold power button again. Reinstall battery -right side up! Close the case and reboot. Now run Bios setup. You have to look for the option to disable the floppy drive controller. Set it to disabled, save the change and exit. Removing floppy from the boot sequence will NOT stop that error message. You must disable the floppy controller which is on the motherboard.

3) Computer is trying to boot from a printer. Startup the computer and go inbto the BIOS (hitting, F2 for Dell's or DEL for others. The BIOS has a setting called "USB emulation" and it was set to enable. Disable the USB emulation and set the boot sequence to the local hard drive. The computer will no longer looked at the printer for a boot option and will boot correctly.
