You Cannot Install Security update for Microsoft.net Framework version 1.1 or 2.0
The first step is to delete the .net folders and delete your temp files.
- Restart the computer.
- From the desktop or Start menu, double-click My Computer.
- Double-click Local Disk (C:).
- Double-click the Windows folder.
- Double-click the Microsoft.Net folder.
- Double-click the Framework folder.
- Right-click the v1.1.4322 folder and select Delete.
- If you are not able to delete this folder, right-click on the folder and select Rename.
- Enter OLD1.1 as the name of the new folder.
- Close windows explorer window.
- From the desktop or Start menu, double-click My Computer.
- Double-click Local Disk (C:).
- Double-click the Windows folder.
- Double-click the System32 folder.
- Right-click the URTTEMP folder and select Delete.
- If you are not able to delete this folder, right click on the folder and select Rename.
- Enter oldurttemp as the name of the new folder.
- Right-click the mscoree.dll file and select Delete.
- If you are not able to delete the mscoree.dll file, right-click on the file and select Rename.
- Enter oldmscoree as the name of the new file.
- Close the windows explorer window.
- Delete Windows temporary files
- Close all open programs.
- From the desktop, select Start > Run.
- In the Open field, enter %temp%, and click OK.
- When the temp folder opens, go to the Menu bar and select Edit > Select All.
- From the Menu bar, select File > Delete.
- If you cannot delete some of the files:
- Click OK in the window that appears.
- Press the key on your keyboard, then select the first highlighted file. This deselects it.
- From the Menu bar, select File > Delete to continue deleting the rest of the files.
