You Cannot Install Security update for Microsoft.net Framework version 1.1 or 2.0

The first step is to delete the .net folders and delete your temp files.

 

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. From the desktop or Start menu, double-click My Computer.
  3. Double-click Local Disk (C:).
  4. Double-click the Windows folder.
  5. Double-click the Microsoft.Net folder.
  6. Double-click the Framework folder.
  7. Right-click the v1.1.4322 folder and select Delete.
  8. If you are not able to delete this folder, right-click on the folder and select Rename.
  9. Enter OLD1.1 as the name of the new folder.
  10. Close windows explorer window.
  11. From the desktop or Start menu, double-click My Computer.
  12. Double-click Local Disk (C:).
  13. Double-click the Windows folder.
  14. Double-click the System32 folder.
  15. Right-click the URTTEMP folder and select Delete.
  16. If you are not able to delete this folder, right click on the folder and select Rename.
  17. Enter oldurttemp as the name of the new folder.
  18. Right-click the mscoree.dll file and select Delete.
  19. If you are not able to delete the mscoree.dll file, right-click on the file and select Rename.
  20. Enter oldmscoree as the name of the new file.
  21. Close the windows explorer window.
  22. Delete Windows temporary files
  23. Close all open programs.
  24. From the desktop, select Start > Run.
  25. In the Open field, enter %temp%, and click OK.
  26. When the temp folder opens, go to the Menu bar and select Edit > Select All.
  27. From the Menu bar, select File > Delete.
  28. If you cannot delete some of the files:
  29. Click OK in the window that appears.
  30. Press the key on your keyboard, then select the first highlighted file. This deselects it.
  31. From the Menu bar, select File > Delete to continue deleting the rest of the files.
